Gender mainstreaming and inclusivity
The GFCE maintains that capacity building should respect human rights and fundamental freedoms, be gender sensitive and inclusive, universal and non-discriminatory, to ensure an open, free, peaceful and secure digital world.
Gender is a cross cutting issue with direct relevance to achieving international peace and security, and as such has become an increasingly important topic in the field of cybersecurity.
The GFCE facilitates the Women in International Security and Cyberspace Fellowship (WiC), which aims to ensure equal and effective representation of women diplomats in United Nations cyber negotiations.
