Cyber 4.0 is the national cybersecurity competence center promoted and co-financed by the Ministry of Enterprises and Made in Italy.
Operating since 2021, the Center is a non-profit association that brings together a leading public-private partnership, including more than 50 members, representing universities, public bodies, large companies, SMEs, foundations and other sectoral entities.
In accordance with its original mission, the Center supports the secure digital transition of Italian enterprises and Public Administration, by enhancing skills and operational capabilities, providing training and orientation programs, delivering highly specialized advisory and technical services and co-funding research and innovation projects. The Center has developed a specific focus on SMEs, having become a platform for sharing best practices, raising awareness, ensuring compliance and enhancing their cybersecurity posture.
The Center also carries out several activities at European level, especially in the framework of the Digital Europe Programme.
At international level, Cyber 4.0 has been growing as an increasingly recognized subject for the implementation of cyber capacity building initiatives. Cyber 4.0 is a Stakeholder of the EU CyberNet project, a Contributing Member of LAC4, the Latin America and Caribbean Cyber Competence Center, and an implementing partner of the EU-LAC Digital Alliance initiative.
