ASPI

Partner Description: The Australian Strategic Policy Institute (ASPI) is an independent, non-partisan and non-for-profit think tank that produces expert and timely advice for Australia’s strategic, defence, security & foreign affairs leaders. With a strong network across the Indo-Pacific region, ASPI’s International Cyber Policy Centre (ICPC) is a leading voice on strategic, policy and geopolitical issues that impact cyberspace and technology. By combining policy-relevant research with innovative activities we shape international public debate and influence policy. The centre also plays an import convening role in facilitating conversations between government, industry and civil society across the Indo-Pacific region that helps foster common understanding and highlights creative policy outcomes. Topics we work on include Indo-Pacific cyber developments, cyber-enabled influence operations and information warfare, internet governance and international norms, cyber crisis management and confidence-building, digital diplomacy, privacy and e-identity and e-government. Our work on these topics is intertwined through a range of activities including policy-relevant research, conferences and 1.5 track dialogues, capacity-building, training and strategic exercises, public-private partnerships, international fellowships and secondments.
