Report Responsible Disclosure Meeting

On March 23 the first of two expert meetings on Responsible Disclosure (RD) was held in Budapest, Hungary. Delegates from both the public and the private sector and from a broad range of countries including EU Member States, US, Japan, India, Mexico, Microsoft, Cisco and Hewlett Packard gathered at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade of Hungary. Participants in Budapest attended multiple sessions offering different perspectives on RD, e.g. policy approaches, hackers experiences, business best practices and academic views.

The final report of the expert meeting can be found here. With the final report being ready the event website will no longer be available. A second expert meeting on Responsible Disclosure will be held in autumn 2016 in Bucharest with a special focus on legal aspects relating to responsible disclosure. Members will be notified about this meeting in due time, and we look forward to another constructive and productive debate on the future of responsible disclosure.
