Partner Description: The Blavatnik Interdisciplinary Cyber Research Center (ICRC) at Tel Aviv University fosters interdisciplinary scientific research on the information age, digital transformation and cybersecurity. Led by Prof. Maj.-Gen. Isaac Ben-Israel, Blavatnik ICRC operates a research fund, competitively awarding fundamental and applied research grants, carrying out outreach activities and for many years has been organizing Tel Aviv’s annual Cyber Week, one of the top international cybersecurity conferences in the world. One of the flagship research projects of recent years has been work on the PROGRESS Methodology, led by Dr Lior Tabansky. The aim is to offer an effective way to assess and also improve an entire sector’s cyber capability maturity. In 2021 the work entered the pilot stage with projects being implemented in a number of sectors. Additionally, the World Bank, launched a joint program with the ICRC to help protect critical infrastructure in developing countries through utilizing and developing the PROGRESS Methodology in the form of creating a Critical Information Infrastructure Toolkit that can be rolled out.
