Save the Date: Global Conference on Cyber Capacity Building (GC3B)

The Global Forum on Cyber Expertise (GFCE) is delighted to officially announce that the inaugural Global Conference on Cyber Capacity Building 2023 (GC3B) will take place on 29-30 November 2023 in Accra, Ghana. The 2023 conference will focus on “Cyber Resilience for Development” as a central theme. 

We are honored to co-organize the first global conference on cyber capacity building alongside our esteemed partners the World Bank, the Cyber Peace Institute, the World Economic Forum and the Ministry of Communications and Digitalization of Ghana.  

The Global Conference on Cyber Capacity Building (GC3B) is a first-of-its-kind flagship event to secure and improve decision makers’ awareness on cyber capacity building, strengthen coordination of efforts on a global scale and widen the pool of resources available.

Purpose of the Conference 

The GC3B 2023 will bring together decision-makers, practitioners, and experts to catalyze global action to elevate and mainstream cyber resilience and capacity building in the international development agenda and in national development plans and investments as key enablers of sustainable development, inclusive economic growth, and social prosperity for all. Together, we work toward effective, sustainable, and inclusive stewardship of international cooperation for cyber-resilient development in the era of digital interdependence. 

 

GC3B 2023 is anticipated to result in: 

  • A high-level, demand-driven Global Cyber Capacity Building Agenda for cyber resilient international development.  
  • An improved global architecture of coordination and cooperation mechanisms for cyber capacity building by leveraging existing structures and strengthening global, regional, multi-stakeholder, and public-private cooperation initiatives. 
  • Expanding the pool of resources available for equitable, sustainable, and demand-driven cyber resilience for development through the mobilization of different sources of financing from international development, the private sector, and philanthropy.
