News Article | 29 November 2021

The GFCE Secretariat is pleased to announce that the GFCE Annual Meeting begins tomorrow! Like last year, the meeting will be held online using an event platform, bringing together more than 200 representatives from the GFCE community.

The GFCE Annual V-Meeting 2021 will reflect on the GFCE’s achievements while looking forward to the challenges and ambitions for the upcoming year, with a special emphasis on bridging the gap between cyber capacity building demand and supply. Hence, the GFCE Annual V-Meeting 2021 theme will be: “Strengthening the GFCE’s Demand-Driven Approach”

Over this three-day virtual conference, GFCE Members & Partners will share their insights on the way forward for cyber capacity building. The Annual V-Meeting presents an opportunity to the participants to join different sessions and contribute their ideas to strengthen cyber capacity building globally. As every year, we have an impressive lineup of speakers covering a range of topics such as:

  • Incorporating cyber capacity into digital development,
  • Discussing regional priorities on cyber security,
  • Reflecting on the latest trends & developments in cyber, and
  • Explaining the role of the GFCE in raising the stakes and positioning cyber capacity building higher on the international agenda.

In 2022, the GFCE aims to bridge the gap between cyber capacity building demand and supply. This entails strengthening the GFCE’s demand-driven approach by focusing on accurately defining needs, stocktaking of the existing supply that the GFCE community has to offer, and addressing gaps to the GFCE community. To do so, the GFCE will continue being the global coordinating platform on cyber capacity building and will keep on connecting the international multistakeholder community.
